Church Notices – St. Mary’s 1st/2nd February, 2020 Newsletter Invitation to Tea Today is the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord. Weekday Masses in St Mary’s will be at 8.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. Tuesday is the Feast of St Blaise – the blessing of throats will take place at the 8.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. Masses. The Ceremony of Light for Gaelscoil Ui Fhiaich will take place on Monday evening at 30 p.m. and on Tuesday at 7.30 p.m. for St Mary’s BNS, Presentation Girls School and Educate Together School. The Parish Youth Group are meeting this coming Friday, 7th February, from 8.00-9:30pm in the Parish Centre, for discussion, meditation and prayer, and finishing with snacks, chat and fun. If you are in secondary school, please come along, you’re very welcome. On Saturday 15th February we will be holding “Afternoon Tea” in association with Maynooth Guild I.C.A. and the Parish in the Pastoral Centre from 3.00 – 5.30 p.m. Proceeds to Brother Kevin (Capuchin Day Centre for the Homeless and Feileachan (Charity supporting miscarriage and stillbirth).   Tickets are €20 and are available at the Parish Office. We hope to run a Parish Pilgrimage to Lourdes from the 3rd – 8th Please see details in the Newsletter or contact the Parish office. Church Gate Collection this weekend is in aid of Crumlin Children’s Hospital. Your generosity is very much appreciated. Parish Newsletter will be available after Mass. Church Notices – St. Mary’s 25th/26th January, 2020 Today is the 3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time – Sunday of the Word of God. Weekday Masses in St Mary’s will be at 8.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. Coffee morning and cake sale will take place in the Pastoral Centre after all masses today/Sunday in aid of Maynooth native Denise Brady who is currently undergoing treatment for Multiple Sclerosis in Russia.  All funds will go directly to Denise to help fund this life-changing treatment. 31st January, 2020 is the closing date for enrolment forms for children starting in St Mary’s Boys’ National School in September, 2020. Church Notices – St. Mary’s 22nd December, 2019 Newsnotes Today is the 4th Sunday of Advent. On Monday there will be only one Mass here at 10.00 a.m.  There will be no morning Masses here on Tuesday.  Please check the Parish Schedule for Christmas – copies are available in the Church porches.   Also please take a copy of the Parish Newsletter. Please read at the 7.00 p.m., 8.45 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. Masses The Maynooth Parish Youth Group will be serving teas/coffees and Christmas goodies this Sunday 22nd, in the Parish Centre after the Family Mass. In the meantime, the Family Mass choir, together with some members of the Youth Group, will  be adding to the Christmas atmosphere by singing Christmas carols. Come along, all are invited.’ The Live Crib will be constructed in the Church grounds on Christmas Eve and parishioners are invited to view the crib from 4.30pm until 6.45pm. All children attending the 5pm Children’s Mass on Christmas Eve are invited to come along dressed as shepherds or angels. This year a special collection will take place to support the work of Brother Kevin who runs the Capuchin Day Centre for the Homeless in Dublin. Kildare County Council have contacted us with regarding the new lay out of the Moyglare Road. They have asked car owners not to park on the footpath outside the Divine Word side as this is causing difficulty for pedestrians, buggies and wheelchair users. Church Notices – St. Mary’s 15th December, 2019 Today is the 3rd Sunday of Advent. The Maynooth Conference of the Society of St Vincent de Paul wish to thank all who contributed to their Annual Collection which took place last weekend. The amount contributed was €10,739, for which they are most grateful.  All money collected is used solely for those most in need in Maynooth. If you missed the collection and wish to make a donation please drop your donation into the Priests or Martina in the Parish Office. St Mary’s Brass & Reed Band Annual Christmas Concert will take place in the Aula Maxima, South Campus, Maynooth College at 7.30 p.m. on    Sunday/this evening.  Admission €5 – Free admission for Under 12’s and Senior Citizens. An envelope containing the Parish Schedule for Christmas and the New Year should have been delivered to your home. If you did not receive one, copies are available in the Church porches. An Ecumenical Carol Service will be held here in St Mary’s on Friday next 20th December at 8.00 p.m.  Refreshments will be served afterwards in the Pastoral Centre.   All welcome The Live Crib will be constructed in the Church grounds on Christmas Eve and parishioners are invited to view the crib from 4.30pm until 6.45pm.
