Church Notices – St. Mary’s 15th/16th December, 2018 Newsletter Today is the Third Sunday of Advent. St Joseph’s Young Priests Society will meet in the Pastoral Centre on Wednesday next 19th December at 8.00 p.m. The Parish Newsletter is available after Mass. Please take a copy on your way out. An envelope containing the Parish Schedule for Christmas and the New Year should have been delivered to your home. If you did not receive one, copies are available in the Church porches. Church Notices – St. Mary’s 8th/9th December, 2018 Christmas 2018 Schedule Today is the Second Sunday of Advent. The Annual Collection for the Society of St Vincent de Paul will take place at all Masses this weekend. All money collected will be used solely for those in need in Maynooth. St Mary’s Brass & Reed Band will hold their Christmas Concert in the Glenroyal Hotel this Sunday 9th December at 7.30pm. Free admission. On Sunday next 16th December St Mary’s Church of Ireland will hold their Ecumenical Carol Service in St Mary’s Church, Parson Street at 7.00 p.m. All Welcome. We have decided to donate the proceeds of the Shrine at the back of the Church to Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin. You can light a candle to remember your loved ones over Christmas who are sick at this time. This time of year again! We are looking for volunteers to deliver the Christmas Parish Schedule. Even if you can deliver to part of your Estate it would be most helpful. Please call into the Pastoral Centre after Mass to collect a bundle. We are most grateful to all those who helped pack and distribute the envelopes. Church Notices – St. Mary’s 2nd December, 2018 Newsletter Today is the First Sunday of Advent. On Friday next 7th December the Parish Youth Group will meet in the Pastoral Centre from 8.00 – 9.30 p.m. Saturday next 8th December is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. The Vigil Mass on Friday will be at 7.00 p.m. here in St Mary’s. There will also be Mass in Ladychapel at 8.00 p.m. on Friday. Masses on Saturday will be at 10.00 a.m. and 7.00 p.m. The Annual Collection for the Society of St Vincent de Paul will take place at all Masses next weekend. All money collected will be used solely for those in need in Maynooth. The Parish Newsletter will be available in the porches after Mass. Please make sure to take a copy of your way out. The Kildare MS Society will hold their Church Gate Collection this weekend. Your generosity is very much appreciated. Church Notices – St. Mary’s 25th November, 2018 Today is the Feast of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, King of the Universe. This Sunday November 25th is Share Sunday.  Share, the second collection, is an important funding lifeline for the many services that support the pastoral outreach of the diocese as well as providing support for poorer parishes. Monday evening Meetings in the Pastoral Centre on Monday: The Parish Pastoral Council will meet at 7.30 p.m. The Baptismal Team will meet at 8.00 p.m. and the The Amoris Bookclub will meet at 8.30 p.m. Training for new Altar Servers will begin on Wednesday next 28th November at 7.00 p.m. here in St Mary’s. Maynooth Senior Citizens Committee say a big thank you, to all who supported their “Sale of Work” last weekend. The amount raised was €10, 500, for which they are most grateful. An Nuadha Players will present Jack & the Beanstalk from Thursday 29th November to Sunday 2nd December in the Aula Maxima, St Patrick’s College.  7.30 p.m. Thursday – Saturday. Matinees Saturday & Sunday at 2.30 p.m. Crosscare Food Appeal: The Crosscare Food Appeal will take place from Sunday next 2nd You are invited to bring non-perishable food items and leave them in the sacristy over the next three Sundays.   Crosscare staff are trying to keep up with demand from the food banks as Christmas approaches – particularly for families in need.  Types of food urgently needed include pasta/rice, fruit juice, tea/coffee, soup, sugar, powdered milk, tinned meat/fish, tinned veg/fruit, packaged dessert, biscuits, and hygiene products. Church Notices – St. Mary’s 18th November, 2018 Newsletter Today is the 33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time. Maynooth Senior Citizens Committee will hold their annual “Sale of Work” (today) Sunday at 3pm in Maynooth Post Primary School. This is their main fundraising event and your support would be very much appreciated. There will be a meeting of all involved in the Sacrament of Confirmation – parents/guardians, teachers and priests on Monday evening at 7.30 p.m. here in St Mary’s. On Wednesday next the Annual Mass for those who have died will take place here in St Mary’s at 8.00 p.m. All welcome. Church Notices – St. Mary’s 11th November, 2018 Today is the 32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time. From Monday next weekly Adoration will take place from 3:15pm – 5.00 p.m. The fifth National Collection for the World Meeting of Families 2018 will take place this weekend at all Masses. It will replace the SHARE Collection. Maynooth Senior Citizens Committee will hold their annual “Sale of Work” on Sunday next 18th November at 3pm in Maynooth Post Primary School.
