Church Notices – St. Mary’s 18th/19th January, 2020 Newsletter Today is the 2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time. Weekday Masses in St Mary’s will be at 8.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. St Joseph’s Young Priests’ Society will meet in the Pastoral Centre on Wednesday next after the 10.00 a.m. Mass 31st January, 2020 is the closing date for enrolment forms for children starting in St Mary’s Boys’ National School in September, 2020. Enrolment Week will take place in the Presentation Girls School from Monday 10th – Friday 14th Enrolment Forms available from school office or visit www.presgirlsmaynooth.ie Guidelines re Church Collections in the Dublin Diocese:   No collection may be taken up in parish Churches on Sundays or Holy Days of Obligation other than the collection for the support of the priests and the Share Collection unless a special collection has been authorised by the Archbishop.  No collection for any purpose may take place in Church grounds with the sole exception of the collections for the local Conference of the St Vincent de Paul Society. Church Notices – St. Mary’s 22nd December, 2019 Newsnotes Today is the 4th Sunday of Advent. On Monday there will be only one Mass here at 10.00 a.m.  There will be no morning Masses here on Tuesday.  Please check the Parish Schedule for Christmas – copies are available in the Church porches.   Also please take a copy of the Parish Newsletter. Please read at the 7.00 p.m., 8.45 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. Masses The Maynooth Parish Youth Group will be serving teas/coffees and Christmas goodies this Sunday 22nd, in the Parish Centre after the Family Mass. In the meantime, the Family Mass choir, together with some members of the Youth Group, will  be adding to the Christmas atmosphere by singing Christmas carols. Come along, all are invited.’ The Live Crib will be constructed in the Church grounds on Christmas Eve and parishioners are invited to view the crib from 4.30pm until 6.45pm. All children attending the 5pm Children’s Mass on Christmas Eve are invited to come along dressed as shepherds or angels. This year a special collection will take place to support the work of Brother Kevin who runs the Capuchin Day Centre for the Homeless in Dublin. Kildare County Council have contacted us with regarding the new lay out of the Moyglare Road. They have asked car owners not to park on the footpath outside the Divine Word side as this is causing difficulty for pedestrians, buggies and wheelchair users. Church Notices – St. Mary’s 15th December, 2019 Today is the 3rd Sunday of Advent. The Maynooth Conference of the Society of St Vincent de Paul wish to thank all who contributed to their Annual Collection which took place last weekend. The amount contributed was €10,739, for which they are most grateful.  All money collected is used solely for those most in need in Maynooth. If you missed the collection and wish to make a donation please drop your donation into the Priests or Martina in the Parish Office. St Mary’s Brass & Reed Band Annual Christmas Concert will take place in the Aula Maxima, South Campus, Maynooth College at 7.30 p.m. on    Sunday/this evening.  Admission €5 – Free admission for Under 12’s and Senior Citizens. An envelope containing the Parish Schedule for Christmas and the New Year should have been delivered to your home. If you did not receive one, copies are available in the Church porches. An Ecumenical Carol Service will be held here in St Mary’s on Friday next 20th December at 8.00 p.m.  Refreshments will be served afterwards in the Pastoral Centre.   All welcome The Live Crib will be constructed in the Church grounds on Christmas Eve and parishioners are invited to view the crib from 4.30pm until 6.45pm. Church Notices – St. Mary’s 8th December, 2019 Christmas Schedule: Today is the 2nd Sunday of Advent. The 2nd Collection this weekend will be the Annual Collection for the St Vincent de Paul Society. All money collected stays in Maynooth to help those most in need in our Parish. Just a reminder – An Evening of Music and Song will be held here in St Mary’s Church at 7:00 p.m. tomorrow/this evening.   All acts are local and tickets will be available at the door.  Proceeds will go towards the Community Sensory Garden and the Parish Pastoral Centre. The Finance Committee will meet on Monday evening in the Pastoral Centre at 8.00 p.m. Free Lunchtime concert will take place on Thursday next 12th December at 1.10 p.m. in the College Chapel, Maynooth College. See poster in porch. We are looking for volunteers to deliver the Christmas Parish Schedule. Even if you can deliver to part of your Estate it would be most helpful.  Please call into the Pastoral Centre after Mass to collect a bundle. On Sunday 8th December An Evening of Music and Song will be held here in St Mary’s Church at 8.00 p.m.  All acts are local and tickets will be on sale after Mass.  Proceeds will go towards the Community Sensory Garden and the Parish Pastoral Centre.  Tickets are also available at the Parish Office. Church Gate Collection this weekend is in aid of Kildare MS Society. Your generosity is very much appreciated. The Mothers Prayer Group will meet in the Pastoral Centre on Tuesday next at 00 p.m.  All welcome. Come and See – Prepare for Advent & Christmas. Jesus Christ – The Way (DVD) will be shown in the Parish Pastoral Centre on Friday next 6th December from 5.00 – 6.30 p.m. The Parish Newsletter is available after Mass – please take a copy on your way out.
