Church Notices – St. Mary’s 21st April, 2019  We would like to wish you all a very Happy and Holy Easter. There will be one weekday Mass at 10a.m. for the next two weeks until Tuesday 7th May. On Saturday next 27th April a Coffee Morning, in aid of St Brigid’s Hospice, will be held in the Pastoral Centre from 10.30 a.m. – 1.30 p.m. Your support is very much appreciated. The Maynooth Castle Keep 21st Art Exhibition will be held in the Maynooth Education Campus, Moyglare Road on Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th April from 12 Noon until 5pm. All welcome.  Admission Free! Church Notices – St. Mary’s  14th April, 2019 Weekday Masses on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be at 8.00 a.m. & 10.00 a.m. The Sunshine Fund of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul will hold its Annual Church Gate Collection at all Masses this weekend. This collection provides much needed holidays for Dublin’s less fortunate children. The Advocate is the only way the Sunshine Fund can finance these holidays. Your support is very much appreciated. St Mary’s Brass & Reed Band and Maynooth Parish Choir will hold a concert this evening (Sunday) at 7.30 p.m. here in St Mary’s Church. Tickets €10 and will be available on the door. We are looking for people to deliver the envelopes with the Easter Schedule. If you would be willing to deliver – even to your own area – please call into the Parish Centre after Mass to collect some envelopes. Copies of the Schedule will be available in the porches during the week. Maynooth Flower & Garden Club Spring Show will be held on Tuesday next 16th April in the Glenroyal Hotel at 7.30 p.m. See notice in Church porch. RTÉ will broadcast live from St Patrick’s College Chapel this Easter on Good Friday and Holy Saturday. The sung Lord’s Passion will be at 3p.m. and the solemn Easter Vigil will be at 11p.m. Please check porch for details There will be a special prayer/meditation at 6:00pm in St Mary’s Church on Good Friday, especially aimed at teenagers and young adults. You might like to join us for 30-45 minutes in this guided prayer. Afterwards, you’re invited for light refreshments in the Parish On Holy Saturday the blessing of food baskets will take place immediately after Morning Prayer. Sunday next is Easter Sunday. Early on Easter Sunday morning, you are invited to attend a Son-Rise This year we will meet at The Harbour, at 6.00 a.m. to await in prayer the rising of the sun at 6.14 a.m. This is a Prayer Service not Mass. After the Prayer Service you are welcome for a cup of tea and some refreshments in the Scouts Den in the Geraldine Hall. Looking forward to seeing you bright and early! Church Notices – St. Mary’s 31st March, 2019 Today is the 4th Sunday of Lent. Weekday Masses during Lent will be at 8.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. Today is Mother’s Day. We wish all mothers, grandmothers and expectant mothers a Happy Mother’s Day. Mother’s Prayer group will meet on Tuesday next 2nd April in the Parish Centre at 8.00 p.m. All welcome. The 4th Evening of Lenten Prayer and Reflection will take place in Ladychapel on Thursday next 4th April at 7.30 p.m. All welcome. The Church Gate Collection this weekend is for the Mellon Educate Trust. Two local volunteers from the parish, James Stack (Rockfield) and John Kavanagh (Castledawson) are travelling to South Africa for their 12th successive year as volunteers with MELLON EDUCATE assisting in the construction of a school in one of the most impoverished communities in the eastern suburbs of Capetown. Church Notices St Mary’s 17th March, 2019 We wish you all a very Happy St Patrick’s Day. Monday is a bank holiday. There will be only one Mass at 10.00 a.m. St Joseph’s Young Priests’ Society Meeting will take place in the Parish Centre on Wednesday next 20th at 8.00 p.m. The second Lenten Prayer and Reflection evening will be held in St Mary’s on Thursday next 24th March at 7.30 p.m. Each evening will consist of prayers and reflections on Lenten themes with focus on the Gospel of the previous Sunday.  We will celebrate with prayer, music and reflection.  All welcome. The Laraghbryan Cemetery Committee will meet in the Pastoral Centre on Thursday next 21st March at 8.00 p.m. Maynooth Tidy Towns wish to let you know that WEEE Ireland Collection will take place on Saturday 23rd March from 10.00 a.m. – 4.00 p.m. in Tesco Car Park.
