CORONAVIRUS MEASURES DUE TO MEASURES INTRODUCED BY HEALTHCARE AUTHORITIES LIMITING ATTENDANCE AT PUBLIC INDOOR GATHERINGS TO 100 PEOPLE MASS IN ST MARY’S CHURCH IS SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. MASS IN LADYCHAPEL IS SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. ST MARY’S CHURCH WILL BE OPEN FOR PRIVATE PRAYER EACH DAY FROM 10.30 A.M. – 5.00 P.M. LADYCHAPEL WILL BE OPEN FOR PRIVATE PRAYER EACH DAY FROM 10.00 A.M. – 4.00 P.M. MASS WILL BE TRANSMITTED EACH DAY  AT 10.00 A.M. BY LOGGING ON TO OUR WEBSITE AT:  WWW.MAYNOOTHPARISH.ORG  The Archbishop has informed us that the obligation to be physically present at Mass on Sundays and Holy Days (including St. Patrick’s Day) is therefore suspended for everybody up to and including 29th March. Funerals and weddings will take place as normal with numbers attending not exceeding 100.  Baptisms will be limited to Parents, Godparents, baby and baby’s Siblings only. Church Notices – St. Mary’s 8th March, 2020 Today is the Second Sunday of Lent. Weekday Masses during Lent will be at 8.00 a.m. & 10.00 a.m. First Confessions will take place next week in St Mary’s Church: St Mary’s Boys School           – Tuesday 10th at 1.15 p.m. Gaelscoil ui Fhiaich        `     – Wednesday 11th at 1.15 p.m. Educate Together                   – Wednesday 11th at 2.30 p.m. Presentation Girls School     – Thursday 12th at 1.15 p.m. The Novena of Grace will continue with Fr Peter until Thursday next 12th March at the 10.00 a.m. Mass. The second Lenten Reflection will take place here in St Mary’s on Thursday next 12th March at 7.30 p.m. “A group of young people from the Parish are going to FaithFest in Dublin on Friday evening, 13th March, 6.00 –9.30 pm.  FaithFest is an event for teenagers. It aims to help build  spaces where they can explore faith with their peers in a creative and fun atmosphere. Church Notices – St. Mary’s 22nd /23rd February, 2020 Today is the 7th Sunday in Ordinary Time. We are very pleased to welcome again Fr. Seamus O’Connell, Professor of Scripture, St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth, to our Parish. Lenten Talks will take place in the Parish Pastoral Centre on Tuesday 25th February and Tuesday 3rd March from 7.30 – 9.00pm.  Seamus will explore with us some of the Sunday Readings for Lent and suggest ways of integrating the Word of God into our prayer life on a daily basis. Wednesday next is Ash Wednesday. Masses on Ash Wednesday will be at 8.00 a.m., 10.00 a.m. and 7.30 p.m.  Masses during Lent will be at 8.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. On Thursday next 27th and Friday 28th February the Confirmation Ceremonies will be taking place here at 11.00 a.m. There will be only one Mass at 8.00 a.m. on Thursday and Friday. Church Gate Collection this weekend is for Self Help Africa. Your generosity is very much appreciated. Church Notices – St. Mary’s 15th/16th February, 2020 Newsletter Today is the 6th Sunday in Ordinary Time. Weekday Masses will be at 8.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. The Annual Collection for Accord, the Diocesan Agency for Marriage and the Family will be made at all Masses this weekend. It will replace the SHARE Collection. Maynooth Senior Citizens Committee will hold their Valentine’s Tea-Dance tomorrow / today Sunday Feb. 16th in Maynooth GAA club at 3pm. Church Notices – St. Mary’s 8th/ 9th February, 2020 Invitation to afternoon tea Today is the 5th Sunday in Ordinary Time. Weekday Masses in St Mary’s will be at 8.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. The Launch of the 10th Anniversary Maynooth 10k will take place on Tuesday next 11th February at 7.30pm in Maynooth Education Campus. Anyone who took part, supported or volunteered at this event over the years is most welcome! Maynooth Tidy Towns will have their AGM on Thursday 13th February @ 7.30pm in the Glenroyal Hotel. All welcome. On Saturday next, 15th February, we will be holding “Afternoon Tea” in association with Maynooth Guild I.C.A. and the Parish in the Pastoral Centre from 3.00 – 5.30 p.m. Proceeds to Brother Kevin (Capuchin Day Centre for the Homeless and Feileachan (Charity supporting miscarriage and stillbirth). Tickets are €20 and are available at the Parish Office. The Annual Collection of ACCORD Dublin the Diocesan Agency for Marriage and the Family, will be taken up at all Masses next weekend 15 & 16 February.  The Collection for ACCORD will replace the usual Share Collection.  ACCORD Dublin offers  Marriage Preparation courses, counselling for couples and individuals experiencing difficulties in their relationships Crumlin Children’s Hospital wish to thank all who supported their Church Gate Collection last weekend which amounted to €1,343.87.
